Cardiovascular disease is our nations number one killer. It also is the number one killer of firefighters in the United States. To urge Americans to help fight this disease the president has made February National Heart month. The HFPD will be selling red heart healthy t-shirts to support National Heart Month along with National Wear Red Day.

Along with selling these t shirts the HFPD is also, on February 5th 2010, hosting a blood drive with the Rock Valley Blood Center and will be having a Cardiovascular Disease presentation. The shirt will be red with the front chest logo in white along with the back logo text. The hear beat will be in black.
